About

Designing Change Together.

stoicOS comes from 20 years of design practice and facilitation of change — with the design thinking mindset and the necessary organisational development. We built the tool we needed — and now we share it.

Designing Change Together — stoicOS

On the background, stoicOS draws from the Stoics.

Moving with the natural order means active acceptance. The world is a dynamic system. Lasting change comes from reason and reflection — not from chaos. Learn as quickly as possible to distinguish what you can change from what you cannot.

The Stoics had clear views on change. stoicOS learns from them and applies them.

"stoicOS is the orchestrated change process that does not automate the human, but amplifies the facilitator with intelligence, continuity and institutional memory. Human contact delivers more return."

Marcel Plomp

Marcel Plomp

Founder · Creator · stoicOS

Marcel started his career as an Industrial Design Engineer — trained to solve complex problems by making them tangible. To prototype, test, iterate, and build things that actually work. Over time, the product changed. Not physical objects anymore, but organisations, teams, and the systems they work within. The design principles stayed more or less exactly the same.

His interest in facilitating design and change process grew from running an innovation lab and leading several projects in the healthcare sector. After additional training at IDEO U, the first sparks arose for stoicOS — a digital product where years of practical learnings meet a rigorous theoretical change orchestrated system.

"Learn to listen, stay humble and move with what is there — direct your energy towards relationships and challenges that can be changed from within."
